Inmate Nawaz was transferred from his cell to the jail hospital prior to the arrival of the medical experts. His medical reports will be sent to IJ Jail in Lahore and in light of the reports the decision of shifting Nawaz to a hospital beyond the prison’s facility will be evaluated.
The PIMS medical team was sent to Adiala Jail, when the doctors within the Adiala Jail premises had said that the uric acid in Nawaz’s blood is too high and can result in kidney failure. They recommended that he be shifted to a hospital with immediate effect.
