LAHORE: A former seminary student threw a shoe at former Prime
Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Sunday during an event at Jamia Naeemia in Garhi Shahu area of Lahore.

s, Nawaz Sharif was invited to speak at an event at the semina
ry but as he reached the rostrum to address the audience, a person in the audience threw a shoe at him, hitting his chest, and started shouting slogans in favour of Tehreeke-e-Labbayk Ya Rasool Allah.
The attacker was detained by the seminary administration and was hand
ed over to the police. Nawaz Sharif remained unhurt in the incident.
The police told that the attacker was named Talha Munawwar and was a former student of the seminary.
