ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday said the Zarb-e-Azb military operation was progressing successfully that would continue till complete elimination of the last terrorist.
Talking to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president said that the government was committed to bring FederallyAdministered Tribal Areas (FATA) at par with other areas of the country by completing ongoing development projects and providing socio-economic amenities to improve the standard oflife of the people.
He expressed the government’s resolve fortimely repatriation and rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) and said that the damaged infrastructure would be rebuilt and economic incentives wouldbe provided for bringing the life back to normalcy in the region.
The governor briefed the president about matters relating to the FATA and said that due to the effective Zarb-e-Azb military operation, normalcy was returning to the area and people were being facilitated and encouraged to return to their homes.
