RAWALPINDI: Interior Minister Ch
audhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday criticised political opponents while addre
ssing a public gathering in Saroba.
“Some political parties criticise me for raising my voice for Islam. If you are proud of being secular; of being non-believers, then I am proud of to be pro-Islam,
” he said.
“These days, there is no distinction between halal and haraam; only money and power talks,
” he said. “The West considers every bearded ma
n and hijab-wearing woman a terrorist. Unless the West
changes this attitude, there will be no control over terrorism. I am a straight-talker. I talk in this way even with my own party leadership,
” he said. “I have been in politics for 35 years. Some people tried to buy me by offering me positions. With the grace of God, I never sold myself,
” he said. “You should not listen to people who campaign for
change. Change cannot be expected from people who have pillaged the country,
” he said.
