LAHORE: A mother and her young daughter lost their lives when a fire erupted in their house in Chungi Amar Shidhu area. The other three members of the house, the father and two daughters received severe burns. The injured were transferred to a local hospital.
According to media reports, the fire broke out in their apartment on Thursday evening, killing Saima and daughter Iman, whereas Mazhar, eight-year-old Kainat, and five-year-old Manahil were reported to be in critical condition.
The flames destroyed everything in the house.
Regarding the incident, SP Model Town Ismail Kharak said that Saima had attempted suicide four months ago, while Mazhar had set fire to numerous household items. A court case was filed against both Mazhar and Saima.
